Flatwork and Finishes Poured to Last

Tri-State Paving and Construction has poured concrete across the tri-state for more than four decades, from smooth walkways to durable curbs that hold their line for years. Every slab gets the base prep and finish work that keeps concrete from cracking and settling.

Our owner-operated crews handle every pour in-house across Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Maryland, with no subcontractors on any job. We grade and compact the subbase, set proper reinforcement, and finish each surface to spec, because what goes under the concrete decides how long it lasts above ground.

Concrete Steps

Solid, code-compliant concrete steps poured and finished for safe footing and a clean, lasting entryway.

Poured to Hold

Concrete lives or dies on what happens before the pour. We grade and compact the subbase, set proper reinforcement, and control the mix and cure so your surface resists the cracking, heaving, and settling that ruins cheap work. Then we finish it clean, whether that’s a broom texture for grip or a smooth decorative face. That attention is why our flatwork stands up to tri-state freeze-thaw cycles and daily traffic for decades.

What Makes Concrete Last?

A handful of details decide whether a slab holds for decades or cracks in a few winters, and we get each one right:

Subbase

We grade and compact the base so the slab above never settles, shifts, or cracks.

Reinforcement

Rebar and wire mesh add the tensile strength that keeps concrete intact under load and movement.

Drainage

Proper slope moves water off the surface, protecting against pooling, staining, and freeze-thaw damage.

Curing

Controlled curing lets concrete reach full strength so it resists cracking and surface wear.

Finish

A clean final finish, broom or decorative, gives you grip, looks, and a surface built to last.
